[Case Study] Avoiding Unexpected Interruptions in the Lumber Processing Workflow

Improving plant availability! Introducing the achievements of SmartCheck in Swedish wood processing.

We would like to introduce a case study from Norra Timber sawmill using our vibration monitoring solution. When the main motor fails, the plant stops, and it takes several hours to resume operations. To avoid such issues, the sawmill was looking for a diagnostic solution. Our experts recommended 'SmartCheck' for motor vibration monitoring. This maintenance solution allows for early detection of alarm causes and visualization of potential damage, enabling proactive planning of maintenance work. [Benefits for the customer] ■ No costs incurred due to production stoppages through predictive maintenance ■ Low system implementation costs ■ Reduction in maintenance costs ■ Improved security through an autonomous reporting system *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study of e-Wireless Patrol Implementation] Machinery

Introducing a case where the exchange period has been maximally extended and maintenance can be performed.

We would like to introduce a case where "e-Wireless Patrol" was installed on the motors of the painting equipment for can manufacturing and the impeller of the shot blast. Before the introduction, there were issues with abnormal vibrations, equipment stoppages, and regular inspections (replacements were made on the safe side), resulting in short cycles. After the introduction, by monitoring the vibrations of the impeller, we were able to evaluate the timing for replacement due to wear based on vibration values, thus extending the replacement period to the maximum and allowing for maintenance. [Points of Evaluation] ■ The introduction cost was low, and immediate trials (verification with demo units) were possible. ■ The expected benefits after verification led to the decision to implement. ■ They provided careful support for various challenges during the introduction. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
